About our Firm
The Bickel Law Firm, Inc. focuses its entire civil practice on California Lemon Law cases. Our firm’s founder, Attorney Brian J. Bickel, has dedicated his legal career to fighting for the rights of consumers who have been saddled with defective cars. Each attorney at our firm has a keen understanding of California’s Lemon Law, formally the Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act, and we regularly monitor changes in the law and new court decisions that may impact the rights and remedies of California consumers.
Our team of attorneys delivers exceptional client service and adheres to the highest ethical standards in every Lemon Law case they handle. Our firm has worked to resolve thousands of Lemon Law cases for consumers in Southern California and throughout the state. We are a tough and focused group of legal professionals who are fully prepared to stand up to the car manufacturers responsible for selling and leasing defective and dangerous vehicles.
About California Lemon Law
The California Lemon Law provides strong protections for consumers who have purchased or leased a defective vehicle. When a vehicle has a defect, the consumer must give the dealership a “reasonable number” of opportunities to fix the problem. California Lemon Law does not dictate a specific number of repair visits before a consumer can pursue legal relief. Rather, the number of repair attempts required can depend upon the severity of the problem. In serious and dangerous situations, such as a brake system failure, two repair attempts may be deemed reasonable. For less serious defects, the consumer may need to give the dealership three or four opportunities to repair the problem or, alternatively, over 30 days in the shop.
About Southern California
The Southern California region consists of eight counties: Imperial, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, Santa Barbara, San Bernardino, San Diego and Ventura. The region includes Greater Los Angeles and Greater San Diego and is considered to be a major economic center for California and the nation.
